Gone and done it! - Plus customer service
Discussion
Well, I parted with my hard earned cash this afternoon and am now the proud owner of a Canon 20D with 17-85 IS USM lens and a 70-300 IS USM too. I wasn't going to buy the extra telephoto originally as I wanted a one lens solution but having been out at the weekend trying to use up my last roll of Kodachrome 25 I of course found myself needing some extra length (ooh er) on some shots. Therefore, rather than missing it on my first proper digital outing, I thought I'd suffer in the wallet all in one go rather than twice
So, time to start to RTM and to play around a bit.
I've found the On/Off switch, the Auto and Manual settings but can anyone tell me where the 'pretend I'm a Nikon camera' setting is
I wouldn't mind knowing where the 'take a photo like this one' setting is either
Anyway, thanks to everyone for their advice in my earlier threads. Hope to post some piccies soon. As I've still got a bit of the Kodachrome left, I'll do a few comparison shots between the slide film and digital 'out of the camera'.
The 'Customer service' bit of the title is just to say that I bought the kit from Jessops, who, apart from being very competitive on the camera and 17-85 kit were friendly, helpful and efficient. One reason for buying face-to-face rather than over the net. Interesting particuarly considering Sony's change in pricing policy today regarding online dealers.

I went to Jessops in Charring Cross, and was told they weren't interested in my EOS1n+winder and 540EZ.Nice friendly people though.
Know how you feel, tried to trade in my Eos1N rs last, for the sort of money they were offering I said I would rather have it as a door stop at home. Got a half decent price on ebay in the end though.
