Hi All,

D50 arrived today from 7dayshop (excellent service).

However, it has a nice little rattle from the top end of the body, like a couple of components aren't quite secured properly.

Anyone else had this? Now off to send it back to 7dayshop.

Don't know about a rattle, but there will be a 'tick' noise as you rotate it because that's the sensor that tells the camera which way up you're holding it (autorotate feature).

Oh yes - the D70 rattles too. I've never noticed that! (The lens on there rattles too, and I am pretty sure that's just 'cos it's a well used lens.)

So - we have an "TADTS" on the photography forum!!!!

I've caught the horizontal/vertical sensor out a good few times (just point up or down a bit) it's not difficult.

Have fun with your new D50!

Nothing loose inside. I got the same response from 7dayshop as well, so just me being a muppet. Haven't tried it yet as the memory card is coming in another package.......

So you've got at least a day to RTM and discover things like autorotate

The CLUD was originally only for D70 owners. However, so as not to be a one trick horse we opened it to other Nikon DSLR usrs. Well, we do like to be fair about it. Revised CLUD Stiffycats will be available next week. Want a Stiffycat? Email me through my profile. Sorry, no "hnadbooks" yet but watch this space.
