Leading on from...

...and not wishing to start any arguments about how "bad" this winter's gonna be

We should have a few snowy images around these parts for inspiration.

I would oblige but......

....there's no snow here yet!

Tip - watch your histogram if you're on digital. Tendency will be to under expose - this is because your meter thinks that it's seeing something that's about 18% grey. Of course, it's not and you need to let a bit more light onto the sensor!

Clear blue skies here. Forecast was for snow today and tomorrow, suddenly now the "forecast" is for clear skies. Got to love that met office.

Quite how they can predict the worst winter for decades when they can't even predict the weather in 8 hours time I'll never know.

I know! Met Check is always a good fiction.

And that currenly shows that I could have to be combining snow and night shots here! Outlaw's place (Wye Valley) has got a nice sprinkling apparently!

Chris Mapey has perfected night shots. Go out in total darkness and jam the shutter open with a match... wait 3 hours...

- then post amazing results

Any links, sounds fascinating? (If a bit cold.)

No snow here either. Bloody MetCheck, MetOffice, BBC and the cold weather conspiring to get my hopes up for some local traffic chaos.
