Filter size?

Hi,

I have the kit lens and a 70-300 ED nikon zoom. The kit lens is a 67mm thread and the zoom a 62mm thread.

I want to buy a poloring filter and wonder if a 62mm with a 62-67mm step up ring would be ok on the kit lens or if I need to buy a 67mm filter and a 67-62mm step-down ring.

Hope you understand my dialema.


Any ideas for a good place to buy the filters, also looking for an ND set to do things like get movement and longer exposure times in daylight.

Greg...go for the 67mm filter and a step-down ring for the slimmer lens.
