Hi does anyone know if I can use the Nikon Teleconverter TC-200 or TC201 2x with my d50?

Thanks

I don't, but try here: www.nikonians.org/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=

I'd have thought the issue will be whether they have the requisite contacts to transmit metering info between lens and camera.

The answer is "probably" that the TC will fit the body, but you have no metering capability (and, fairly obviously, no autofocus).

Also it depends what lens you will be using.

There are compatability charts, normally in your manual (have you RTFM-ed!?) or online here for AF and here for MF for TC compatability

Hi Beano,

Yes I did RTFM, and it was a result of doing that that I posted the question. It seems it is not listed as specifically compatible, and not listed as not compatible. The charts you posted look useful and a lot more comprehensive than those supplied with the camera.

Thanks
