I got to thinking about how good the modern gear is (cameras, lenses and computers/software) after playing around with this shot I took this afternoon. A grey day but still hand held.



What got me thinking was this...a 500% section.



Photography equipment has come a long way in the last 50 years!

Off topic I know; but I'm glad I wasnt the only one enjoying the sea today. Had a cracking days training in my Laser 4000

Precisely - every episode of CSI has someone enlarging and enhancing some crappy CCTV footage to do precisely this!






Slightly more seriously, I love the convenience that digital brings to both the "doing" and "showing"

Forgot to say...that guy must kave been over a kilometer away. 400mm x 1.3 on the 1D mkII N.
