I would like to send some pics off (electronically) but want to put a big copyright logo - (C) across them. I've seen some nice ones that are see through, how do I do this on Photoshop E?

Load the image.
Create a new text layer and type in your copyright message.
Set layer opacity to 25% or so (optionally play around with blending modes in the little drop-down box)
If you want it to look embossed, click the levels menu > level style > embossed.
Flatten the image
Save....

This is how I would do it in Photoshop, I don't know what bits are missing from Elements

Haven't been around here lately, but...

Couldn't you just send small versions of the pictures? No one can really use a 400x600 pixel picture for anything for profit, so it saves you the time of putting in copyright logos, provides a more convenient file size for transferring electronically, and doesn't obscure your work as a copyright logo does.
