Wurgh.

Called in to the local gallery/craft shop to check on photo sales. Zero.

However, Gallery man is setting up a craft centre with artists, potters etc and wants to sell courses/demos/workshops to the great unwashed.

He asked if I'm interested in holding a digital photography course...

Headhunted at last!

So I said I'd have a think and get back to him. It's a blank sheet, or should I say blank CF card - I can do what I like.

He thinks each session will need to be 2+ hours to make it worth people turning up. It could be a solid day but I think that's too much to learn in one chunk.

I need to think of a course structure, eg number of sessions and subject of each session. Biggest problem is that I don't have a laptop or data projector.

I have some ideas (my trusty 'idiot's guide' will be very useful) but would be interested to see how you might tackle the subject and slice it up.

Perhaps an easy way to do this would be to buy a begineers guide to digital photogrpaher and steel the topics from it.

It would at least give you and idea of where to start and an agenda and then you can add your own flare to it.

Wahey - count me in...I'll sit at the back and offer "constructive" comments....

If you want to borrow a laptop, then I would be happy to reciprocate for the lens, so to speak....

Hope all's well

Pity I am so far away, I could loan you a projector and screen so with CM's laptop you could be a MultiMedia Guru

I found this quite good. Could use it as a structure.

Where would you hold them?

Cambridge?

That's impressive; I like the fact that it has photos to illustrate each point.
Frankly, I think it would take so much time to put together something like that that it's simply not worth it - I'd be better off spending the time looking for commercial work: £300 a day and no awkward questions!
