Looking at getting a digital SLR an am considering one of these ... opinions please?

As I'm going to the States for the Monterey Weekend next year whats the battery life?

Go for it. DSLRs are in a word - brilliant.

As for battery life, if it's anything like my Nikon you should get 700+ exposures without flash before a recharge is required.

Canon state 600 shots with a single charge battery (less with flash, 400 or so).

In the box you get a shaver socket cable to charge your battery up with as well as a normal plug one.

Its a cracking camera, very quick, nice pics, only had mine a week so still getting used to it.

Fantastic camera. If you are worried about the battery life, I highly recommend the battery pack attachment. It changes the handling of the camera slightly, so go try it out first...

PS: The battery pack allows you to use regular batteries (AA) in a pinch...
