As many of you know, I'm a sad git. So a PSP was always going to happen.

As I have a Sony PC the memory card will work in both machines... meaning:

The PSP will do a 16:9 slideshow with pics straight from the PC.

And I have to say, I'm rather impressed. The photos look a bit 'soft' but the screen on the PSP is HUGE and bright and clear (for £170 that's CHEAP - about 5 times the size of the cameras' screen and as good quality as the D2X). And of course you can fit endless pics on it as the cards go up to 1 Gb (6 decent quality jpeg pics per Mb)... and the slideshow option allows some fiddling.

Of course you'll have to prat about making pics 16:9 if you want to fill the screen. But if you have read this far, you are probably as sad as me, and would do that.

So If you have any sort of Sony PC/laptop with a 'memory card' slot (some may need a £5 adaptor), and want a cheap way of showing your 'nan your pics - the PSP will do it (and you can try and beat my Ridge Racer time).

My brother gave me a PSP for Christmas. I converted all my short video clips using a free program called PSP Video 9, and they're all stored on on a 1 gig memory stick.

As you say, great way to show them to other people (albeit they get a little squashed in height during the conversion to mp4.)
