Anyone know where I can get some that will turn my upside down recordings (stupid clamp!) up the right way. I can't find it on the Sony software that came with the camera.

Martin.

Well, that's what happens when you don't read all the threads, must try harder.

Hank...you don't know where abouts on Movie Maker it is do you? I've search over, rotate, upside down, turn and 180 but can't find it.

Martin.

Just did some testing on one with text and the rotate 180 isn't a true rotate

So you have to add two effects....

Drag the clip to timeline
select it in the timeline
right click, select Video Effects
Add Rotate 180 and Mirror, Horizontal doesn't matter in which order.
Bingo

Martin,

I use AVSEdit/AviSynth.

It's a bit weird as you create a text file that then appears as if it is a video file. The text file contains commands to do anything you want to it.

Here is the file I used to rotate Paul C's file for him

The file is named J:paulrotate.avs, and contains

AviSource("J:CapturesPCOultonPark.avi"
FlipHorizontal()
FlipVertical()

You then just open up that file in any normal editing package and it will rotate the file on the fly.

www.avisynth.org/

It's free, and once you work it out, incredibly powerful!

There are some guides here

Drag clip...fine.
Select......fine.
Right click...nothing!

HELP!

Martin.

Instead of right click, can you highlight the clip in timeline, and from the menu do:
Clip...
Video...
Videao Effects and achieve the same?

1.1.2427.1...2000/01

Right click on the highlighted clip and there's nothing about effects in the box

Well, that's your issue right there!

Get the new one, it's lovely.

It's in XP SP2, if you can't go that way, one of the other solutions will have to do for you
