Nikon on Holiday
Discussion
Well the D70 is taking a holiday (hopefully short) in Kingston, while they sort out the top display, which has started to fail in places.
Meanwhile I'll have to console myself by reading and rereading the D200 brochure I came away with.... ah! I suppose I better go and earn some money
...and then I can re-review some of teh thousands of shots I've taken in the last year and work on my RSE and PS skills!
You know, I rarely take a "good" photo now I start to look back. Some are OK, but I really need to get better at the raw images. For example, on Monday I was on the Purbecks (in the mist and low cloud, and out of 150 shots, nothing's really very good. One that I do like is this... (ALL COMMENTS WELCOME) ...because it sort of defines where I am today. Not sure which direction to go, can't see more than a few metres ahead!
Does it work better as a monochrome, or with that hint of colour?

Colour, colour and colour then!
Thanks for the comments - keep 'em coming!
Yup I looked long and hard at the black and white and went deliberately for dark at the bottom, sort of ensure your eye is led up to make it more positive.
And yes, it was intentional that I broke the rules and got the post right near the middle (and almost upright)
So, I think I need to do a few (melancholy) B&W conversions and then embark on some nice bright colours to cheer up the time of year!
(Oh and I'm not excluding any of our "foreign" visitors - I'll transalte for you - we're talking about "c-o-l-o-r" - but you're probably not awake yet!)
