Also gets a mention in the 'What's New' section on Luminous-Landscape.

What's interesting is that they decided to continue to support film with the amazing F6. Clearly you don't (as a big corporation like Nikon) do things for charity and I guess this is a commercial decision. But to them!

Now does this:

Nikon said it would end production of all lenses for its large format cameras

mean lenses for 35mm format as opposed to DX sensor size, or do they still make large format lenses (which they are now stopping)?

Interesting that Zeiss are (apparently) also shifting to produce F Mount lenses - again presumably for DX sensor format

Nikon do also (did!) make lenses for large format (e.g., 5"x4" ).

Ta - I thought that was ("is" - until this announcement) the case. I can see them phasing out the current big guns as well (35mm) in favour of additions to the DX range which could be smaller, lighter and more technologically advanced.

.....best I start saving up then!
