The Daily Exposure
Discussion
Having seen Get Carter's latest masterpiece I thought to discover a little more about Crummock Water and ran a quick search. An then quite by chance spotted a commetn about a photo of Crummock so decided to have a look and found myself in this blog.

It's quite interesting to see the development as the blog progresses. If you go back to, say, April 2005 (haven't gone all the way back to the start yet) and then follow through to June and July there seem to be big changes in approach and content and themes comne and go. The June/July period, especially July, gives a strong impression of experimentation with some great ideas. More recent shots, possibly due to the time of year of course, have fairly specific technical focus - long exposure night shots for example.
Lots of IR stuff as well which comes over very well, IMO.

Hmm. I think some of his earlier S7000 shots come across as artistically interesting whilst more recently the D70 era sees more of a technical influence to the fore.
I think that to wring the best out of a DSLR you have to know the tecchy bits. The trick is to juggle the tecchy bits and the arty bits at the same time, for they are unnatural bedfellows.
