well now that I finally have broadband up and running at my flat, I thought I'd show you guys some of my shots let me know what you think, useful advice for ways to improve my photography etc.

all taken with fujifilm S5500, some shots have been tweaked slightly for contrast etc.

Some nice pics Ben! (good name by the way). the PH auto resizer has hurt you though, you need to resize to 750px wide or less for your pics to look their best here.

the white escort stands out for me (not least because I want one a lot)

cheers, will try resizing some differently. I was quite stoked to get that photo, was standing on a fence post leaning out over the road trying to get a good angle, I bet they thought I was about to fall in front of the car!

The composition of the shots is good, but my only criticism is that since it's obvious in a lot of shots, especially the first 8 or 10, that you tweaked the photos for contrast and such, you may as well go all the way and boost the saturation as well. Or maybe that's just my personal preferences talking...

thanks, I've now edited the post to show which shots are adjusted and which aren't. some I'm not sure about as they were taken before I'd got into the habit of saving adjusted photos as separate copies.

I like the cloud shots at the top. Some of these shots would also be good for a bit of photoshoppery. I've been playing with "flares" since I read a post by Ernest M recently:-

hmmm yeah thats a nice effect, I might have to find some half-decent photoshop software to play around with. all I'm using for adjustments etc so far is the software that came with the camera.
