cheap small camcorder

since we are discussing cameras, I need a small camcorder for the odd
occasion to record wife an d her friends being thrown from horses,
but must be small and easilly operated to use for such an event.

Know little about formats, but;
do they take single pics as well,
how much actuall recording time is available,
and is it easy to transfer to PC>DVD or CD afterwards

I got one of these a while ago, it's not cutting edge quality wise but adequate enough as a hobby camera. Shoots straight to memory card just like a digital compact so really easy to get it back onto the pc. Budget for a 1GB card to go in it which gives about 1hr of recording on the 2nd best quality setting (which is what I use and is fine) or about 45 mins on the absolute best. About the size of a packet of cigarettes is the really cool thing about it and yes also shoots reasonable stills at 3.2MP.

might take a look on fleabay and see what available,
something like an hour's recording time
ould be OK, together with the odd still should do it
