As they're done the chemical way, you have my total respect.
First impression was 'brilliant!'. Second impression with my picky hat on:
Number (1) looks a tad gloomy and the people are lost in the shadows.
Number (2) is a great frame but it needs something in it for a point of interest. I don't mind the drain.
Chemicals. Bloody hell

I take it you're the same Scalper that posts on Blatchat? Through your profile we seem to share the same good taste in cars, this is mine .......
I like the photos and hopefully when I'm in Italy in the summer I'll be able to spend some time with my camera. Italy must be one of the most stunning places for taking photos, and this year will be the first where I think I'm starting to understand a little of what I'm doing with the camera.

Thanks evereybody.
There are some interesting comments and some constructive cirticism which will certainly help me to do better next time.
unfortunately you are right
however I can't dodge the shadows any forther because there is no detail in the negative and the people would end up a dull looking gray
it's way beyond my capabilities
getting the scanner to work properly, and managing to get some scans which somehow resembled the original prints was already a great success for me

1) Try cloning out the arials and the car to give it a timeless feel
2) Cut and paste a street urchin onto the step, maybe even doing a bit of spot-colour by giving him a red jacket.
HTH
What have chemicals got to do with photography?![]()

Yes I used to post on Blatchat before they made it members only
Nice car... lots of shiny carbon
Are you planning to come with the seven? There are lots of stunning road
By the way, this is my car
Alpine passes are a lot more fun when they are covered in snow
, and they make for some interesting and unusual pictures

I would love to be coming down in the 7 but for some reason my wife won't let me tie our daughter to the rollbar, therefore we have to drive down in a sensible car! At least it means I can take all my camera gear and laptop though.
One year though I will take the 7 even if it means trailering it there, some of the roads are just stunning and made for the car.
