This show is on this weekend at Ali Pali, lot's of different scenes represented. A couple of pics from set up day yesterday. Lighting in there is a bitch though.

I'll probably get killed for this, but what lens did you use? Did you use a flash at all?

As for the pics, I like most of them, though I think the slot car ones could do with a bigger DoF IMHO. My favourite is the one above the four people in black (Are they famous?).

Just spotted the thread - very nice pics.

Love the one of the "Shesa33" - great subjects IMHO & a very nice shot.

Those Golfs are seriously nice.

Sorted pictures as ever Nick, the slotcar one is a killer for me, love it.

Err... the blue thing with the engine. What is it? Road legal or a dragster? I want I want I want!

Thanks guys

I did use a bit of fill in flash on some of the shots Nige.

The orange golf has £6000 worth of chroming in/on it - every single nut, bolt, washer and hinge

The blue car is a Volvo and yup it's street legal.

I really enjoyed the day up there yesterday, apart from all the cars and meeting up with people I know, I got to meet Richard Heeps ( www.richardheeps.co.uk/ )who is one of my photo heros. I bought a couple of awesome framed/signed/limited edition prints from him which are now in my dining room.
