For people with limited knowlege like myself, could you explain whats involved in panning (with reference to the canon IS, I cant remember the comments but... IIRC there were comments of IS lenses not being good at panning sideways, I think)

Fantastic photos, they look really good.

I dont want to break tradition and post without asking at least half a dozen questions ...are you allowed to sell prints or use photos like these commercially without having to blur out the licence plates?

nah they suck colour and contrast wise. panning is using a slow shutter speed and tracking the car as it goes by. shutter speed is down to the ablity of the photographer I suppose

i can see why you think that, but they really arent that bad. have you tried a quick blast with photoshop?
for me the greens seem wrong in most of them, and maybe that is why the exige shot stands out as being nice (because it has no green in it).

I like these poah, the last one is the pick of the bunch for me.

I think all the grass is throwing the white balance out though, which in turn is making the colours slightly off (to my untrained eye). Did you tweak the white balance or is this how they came out of the camera?

I know what Knockhill is like on these days, nothing wrong with these pics considering.
I was at the corresponding event last year doing some video work and i agree, it is bloody cold.
