a question for Lee ND grad filter users
Discussion
I'm finally changing from Cokin to Lee filters.
(I know - I'm a bit late).
Can I ask those who use them ... which would you recommend as the most useful ND grad. 0.6 soft, 0.6 hard, 0.75 soft or 0.75 hard.
Or do I really have to get two (at £50+ a pop)
Typical usage (you've seen them all before - you know what I get up to)

I use the 0.6 and 0.9 soft. I think for your kind of landscapes (hilly horizons) the hard might darken mountain tops etc. I bought a set: 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 soft. Dont forget the wide angle ring either. Will be essential for you I think. Just try not to ping them into the road at 45 mph into the path of a following vehicle... it can really ruin your day.
Andy... FYI sets are for sale @ www.warehouseexpress.co.uk
The Lee "Starter Kit" includes an 0.6 Hard, so that must be the top seller and the one they regard as the one you should have if you could only have one.
But I can't help thinking that the hard graduation (which I understand is virtually no graduation) would show up in the picture, especially when stopped down to f/32 or something.
I've been really tempted by a set of Lee filters for ages, but simply cannot stomach the idea of paying over £100 for a couple of sheets of glass!
Somebody convince me please.

You should try paying 250 odd for a polariser.... If you dont need the size or quality I wouldnt bother. I only got them when i started using a full frame dslr at 14mm and needed to do everything i could to maximise the quality of my shots, up til then the cokin ones were fine!
