Watcha reckon?

Should I go for the Pantone Huey?

I'll confess I don't get the obsession with a calibrated screen. I have never had a problem with my prints coming back looking different to on screen, which is probably why I'm not bothered.

well the fun starts when you profile your monitor... then profile your printer for all the mediums you use... then profile your camera for every different lighting condition you use.. it never stops...

- to both of you.

I don't want to get obsessed...

..and I realise that the process is a never ending one (worms, can, oops!)

On the other hand, I look at my pix on this screen (away from Chez Beano actually working for a living! ) and realise that not everything in the world is rosey...

...or bluey or greeny or yellowy - so I think maybe I should go Huey............

Fair comment, I use three different monitors at work, none of them calibrated, but would confess that if my pics looked remarkably different on all other screens compared to my two at home, I'd probably do something about it.

Cost wise this seems to do the job, would the colorvision spider be worth the extra? Probably not for the majority of users.

It's only obsessive when you paint your room black or 18% grey, and only wear dark clothes to prevent any colour cast from the reflections!

I've calibrated my screen and and see a small difference, but calibrating the scanner and printer was much more worthwhile.
