Mobile phone cameras
Discussion
Clearly posting here about mobile phone cameras is like going to a lobster thermidor forum and saying "I had some really good scampi the other day" but...
I took some snaps using my mobile at the weekend (proper camera at home) and I'm fairly pleased with what you can get out of the little unit (Sony Ericsson K750i). Does anyone use their mobile phones or is this a strictly SLR-or-nothing zone?
Apologies for the use of t
t lamps here

I use my K750i a lot.
I still think that the only way a camera phone will be good enough is when they take a camera and add a phone, rather than taking a phone and adding a camera.
The absence of a "proper" lens (eg one with actual glass) is always going to limit the quality, regardless of the resolution. I think Sony have a "cybershot" 3.2mp cameraphone out soon, but I don't have high hopes of it really.

but for some reason I can't rotate them on the software
Can you not just right click & rotate the image?
I can in XP Pro (or have I downloaded something for that...)
Chris
Yeah - I can move them around, but they won't save. I've clicked 'save as' then tried the original name or renaming but doesn't work.
I use my phone as a camera only when I'm not expecting to take any photos, my digital compact is fine for snaps and is small enough not to be a burden.
It takes surprisingly good photos in daylight, not so good in the dark though -
thumbnail worked in preview, oh well -

It's the Cwmcarn Forest Drive in Wales near(ish) Cardiff
It costs £3 to go in and whilst they look good they're actually limited to 15mph. It's more of a leisurely pootle than a full on WRC stage.
But don't worry, I found some rather faster roads later that day...
