Canon S3 IS: Opinions

Hi All,

Do any of you PHers have one of these? I was over at DP Review earlier and this caught my eye, there's no in-depth review for it as yet though. I was looking at buying the S2 but it looks like Canon have just bought this on to the market.

Please tell me it's rubbish so I don't have to part with any folding stuff

so S3 may be up there soon but can't be sure.

Duh! I've been having a look around yet and it's not being released until the end of April over here.

I'll pop on over to Steve's Digicams and see what he's got to say.

It looks like a few people are holding fire on buying the S2 and are awaiting the S3. Amazon have got the S2 for around £275 now, the S3 is going to be sold for around £340.

Saw an S1 ad at £130 last week.

The S2/S3 comparison on the Canon UK site suggests the changes are not as great from S2 to S3 as they were from S1 to S2.
