Postcards from Japan
Discussion
Just got home from a 5 day business trip to Japan. I didn't get a single minute to myself the whole time I was there, so had to make do with photos grabbed from my hotel room balcony as my only recorded memories of the trip
Yokohama by night, Big Wheel:
A big old boat that I never got the chance to go anywhere near:
And finally, a drink I had to try simply because of it's delicious sounding name!
(I'll refrain from posting the photo of me singing a duet in a karaoke bar with one of the very senior staff in a major japanese corporation! If you've seen Lost in Translation, specifically the bit with the Karaoke bar - that's pretty much what it was like. Very very weird, and not singing was not an option!)

That'll be it - Stayed on the 62nd Floor in the Landmark for 2 months not long after it opened - ('94 I think it was).
Great place - plenty to see and do.. With Sunday coming up - get your butt up to Tokyo and head for Yoyogi Park in the morning. Bands line the pavements (just follow the crowds) with all their young groupies all mimicking the band..
Oh and the loonies are out at the nearest underground to them (the name I can't remember) but it's the one nearest the large temple (come out the station and cross the bridge) to head to the park.
Got some pics somewhere of a recent visit there.. (heads off to find some)
