Got an annoying scratch in the rear screen on my 300D.

Does anyone know how much that is gonna cost to get replaced?

Sigh.

How bad is the scratch? I saw a thread a while ago in P&P which said toothpaste was good for buffing out buffable scratches.

This is good on mobiles, would have thought it would work on screen:

e-mail Canon UK or a repair centre.

I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of removing the old plastic cover (for that's all it is) with a sharp knife and sticking a new one in place..

Yup, it's just a plastic cover that covers the lcd, you are supposed to use a sucker to pull the cover out and then the new one just pops in, they used to be about £10 for the 10D, give Lehmans a ring on 01782 413611 and they'll post one out to you.
