Having lost a CF card last weekend, I found myself a bit short of space so half way through the day I switched to Normal rather than Fine jpegs and effectively increased the card capacity by about 75-80%.
I actually forgot about it till now and on checking, I can see no discernable artefacts in either.
As a fair bit of what I do is just snaps for my benefit and have no requirement to be fine (especially when no difference can be seen in the subjects), I'll be doing this again but will probably revert only for special occasions.
Just thought I'd share but doubt anyone on here will be joining my compression revolution
