Went to see some dragster racing for the first time over Easter. Not really sure what I expected, but I really enjoyed it, the atmosphere was great, the noise load and when the top fuel dragsters / funny cars went out, well they're just something else, a real bombardment of the sensors. Not sure it's something I'll do over and over agin, but defiantely worth the experience.

Anyhow there's a few shots here, comments welcome as always.

they are great

i love drag racing, hopefully going to go to the mainevent or summer nationals this year. used to go all the time, and camp over the whole weekend, at least 2-3 times a year, but then had a couple of kids and haven't been for a few years.

Going to buy them some ear muffs and take them too, now they're a bit older

Don't suppose you took any photo's of a rather unassuming looking silver dragster in Pro-ET did you?

The one that says www.587racing.com and Direct Gas on the side?

The trouble with our car is that it just isn't spectacular enough!

Cracking shots. The Morris Minor Pickup is just insane. Looks like it's concours condition other than the engine and wheels. (Oh, and the wing and drag stuff but I guess that could be removed for a show! )

That Morris is also road legal , it really is beautiful in the flesh, Malcolm, the owner, was pitted next to us all weekend..

No worries bud, we're a silver grey dragster that doesn't look that impressive on a grey day surrounded by the big stuff.. Add to that the fact that we do a short sweet burnout, we're not really photographer material!

Although, if anyone fancies coming down to the workshop and having a bash at some shots for us.. Drop me a line!

you'll have to put a massive pistonheader sticker on the side, I'm sure you'll get noticed then, by us lot anyway

will you be at the main event in May? I'll make sure to take some pics

There's one on the back of the hood scoop.. the biggest I could get away with!

We will indeed be at the Main Event, pop into the pits and say hello..
