Any satellite TV experts around?

[mmertens]

I'm moving soon to a place (in the Netherlands, not the UK) where there's no cable yet. So I'm looking at a satellite kit. Now there's many around, BUT I need some pretty hefty specs:
- probably 8 TV's/recorders in total need to be connected and all must be independantly tuneable.
- My wife's a bit of a TV addict and I need some good quality machinery to record, just as user-friendly (or better) as a recent HD-recorder.
- I don't want 8 dishes, preferably
- but I'll likely need something with 2 independent LNBFs to receive 2 satellites at least to ensure I can recieve all channels I now have on cable
- I'm not too eager to buy a decoder card for each receiver (in Holland the dutch satellite channels are not FTA).

I'm pretty sure it's gonna cost me quite a bit - whereas that pisses me off somewhat there's no way a cable company's gonna hook my new place up for less money...

I know there are some dual-tuner PVR (with HD recorder) sets, these look nice but no clue how good they may be. I was also thinking along the lines of a Windows Media Center - satellite receiver PCI cards apparently exist but I don't know about quality/software, and can I for example stick 3 or 4 cards in one media center?

Any feedback, or links, greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Maarten
