My daughter is 5 at tge end of this week and wants a camera for her birthday (good girl!). She sometimes takes a few piccies with our Ixus but I want to get her something very simple to use, is small but robust and, not surprisingly, cheap too.

Any thoughts, suggestions, recommendations? There's a 3Mb Vivitar at Argos for just under £50 and I've glanced at Canon Outlet etc.

a very similar question was asked here:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=259485&f=109&h=0

they may be able to give you some help if they found a suitable camera.
