Scanned negatives BOAC 500 1968
Discussion
I found your site regarding the great shots from the BOAC 500 in 1968. I own the Porsche 907 that finished second in that race to Icks and Redman. I was wondering if you might have taken some shots of my car. The race # was 38. I would also be interested in any other shots that exist from that race.
Thanks, Kent

Your best bet is probably to use the email link in LongQ's profile, and send him a mail:

Having a quick browse after a long day at Donington Park .... and came across this post.
There's one of number 38 here.

That shot is also used on this site ...
www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Brands_Hatch-1968-04-07-photo.html
which has a couple of shots in the David Small gallery at the end of the event page which might also be number 38 (difficult to be certain.)
I don't seem to have any shots specifically for 38 but I think it appears in a couple of group shots (not easy to differentiate 38 and 36 from the scans I have made so far). The best shot, though the quality is not great when enlarged to the point where the number can be read, seems to be of 38 leading the 3 works Porsches around Paddock Hill Bend at the start of the race with the Ford in 4th.
The third car in this shot is either 38 or 36 I think.
I may be able to get something half acceptable (as a 'historic' snap lacking any pretense at perfection) by playing around with the first one a bit. Let me know (through my profile contact) if you are interested and I will see what I can do.
