How could something which looks so angelic:

...be such a little ba$tard?!!

Attacking the girlfriends knee caps:

And destroying most of the flowers in the garden:

'Alfie' is only 9 weeks old and is yet to have his second (10 week) immunisation injection which will allow him to go forth and wreak havoc on the outside world. Being a blonde fuzz of energy, and wanting to test everything by biting it, he's driving us mad.

None of our previous dogs have been quite as much trouble!

Note on pictures: zero post processing (because I'm a lazy ar$e!) and a lot left to chance - in other words, hardly any set up - due to Alfie liking the look of my camera and wanting to explore it with his teeth.

Have just seen your website.

Bloody brilliant! If ever you're on the Wirral and want to give a lesson in photography to somebody who's pretty talentless please give me a shout

What a cutie! Nice pics too Andy. The latest addition to the destruction in my house is this:

Given as that carpet runs all up my stairs and through the entire upstairs of my (albeit small) house, that little hole is going to prove expensive. I'd settle for the destruction of some flowers!

Still you have to admire the fact that he managed to make such a neat square!

What a beautiful dog

They can be a right royal pain, don't worry though they get through the puppy phase..... when they are about three

Really like the first and last images. The last is my favourite, his playfulness and inquisitiveness really comes across. Nice job

The "cookie cutter" carpet patching tools as show at the bottom of this Webpage are supposed to work pretty well.

That's a beautiful ball of white fluff you've got there Andy..

If he chews on things inside the house try "Apple Bitters" spray.

All who have met him would say otherwise

He's being so naughty that we've bought a water spray (used on plants) for when he's being particularly obnoxious. Sadly he loves the bloody thing and positively encourages us to spray him.

It's turning out to be a battle of wits this one.

He's winning!

My last dog was called Alfie as well, although he was quite subdued.

What sort of dog is it?

Feel free to know and/or ignore:

Charlie went through a nightmare stage at about 3 - 4 months (none of our previous dogs were so willful). So I completely ignored him for about a week when seeing him first in the morning, returning home and when he wanted to play or fight. (REALLY difficult) - but he was so phased by this, and by my obvious refusal to consider him the centre of attention that he's considerd me 'top dog' from that moment onwards.

If only it worked with the rest of my family

This 'Devil' Alfie is a Golden Retriever, distantly related to our previous dog who passed away a couple of months ago.

Good idea. Alfie's not a bad dog, he's just boisterous and is wanting to examine anything and everything (the downside being that it's with his razor sharp teeth).

I don't for one second regret buying him, but I hope (and pray!) that these are the most testing weeks with much calmer ones to follow...

You might consider getting some training on how to train the dog . . . the psycology is quite interesting . . . seemingly silly things like, if you're leaving the house the human must leave the house first - top dogs always go first and you should be the top dog . . . you should always eat first, the dog always eats 30 minutes after you do . . . etc, etc . . .

the g/f's landlady was a guide dog trainer and has some lovely Gordon Setters, which are the uncannily well behaved . . . almost all of the time ;-)
