Gumball Photos (Just photos....no discussion on the event!)
Discussion
Seeing as the Gumball photos post on the General Gassing forum turned into a debate on the pros and cons of the Gumball, I thought I'd put the link to my photos on here so people could appreciate my work without having to fall into a silly discussion.

Here are some of my favourites! (It was very difficult to get a good shot as I kept getting dragged away by the police for getting in the way of the cars.....ahhhh well. You have to try!

Few (I hope constructive) comments.
I'd agree on the dust issue.
Most of them seem somewhat overexposed. You've blow highlights on pictures 3, 4, 5 which spoil things.
The last one doesn't have any one thing sharp in it.
I hate the watermark - it distracts from the picture. If you must watermark it, either use a hidden one, or put it in the corner. Why do you need 2?
The first one has promise, but perhaps would have been better at a slightly different angle?
Regards,
J

OK OK! What I mean to say was no discussion on the gumball itself. It was becoming a political debate on General Gassing in the photos topics which annoyed me slightly so I hoped to have some photographic, (and not a polital) response here.
Thanks for pointing out the dust....I'll get it cleaned....but how?! I've been meaning to do this for a long time now. Is it easy to do myself?
I had a lot of trouble taking the photographs. I was being pushed left right and centre by a lot of people who were also trying to get a look a photo of their own so I ended up resorting to standing in the cars way, however on several occaisions I was dragged off by a couple of policemen. (I'm not arguing with them here! They carry guns!!!)
I also need to spend some time photoshopping them however I'm pretty rubbish with Photoshop. I managed to get (at a greatly reduced - but legal price), a copy of CS2. Any hints and tips would be great! Also, what decent books are there on the product?
With regards to the watermarking, I can only apologise for that. Unfortunately people have been taking the pics and posted them as their own which is not on.
I'm at the office now so putting a great bit watermark seemed to be the best way for temporary protection. When I get home, I'll digimark them. Cheers! BB
Just to add....the photos are on a very low quality! I had to reduce the picture size somehow as it was draining the bandwidth on my server! It used up 15GB in just two days!

Thats a great shot of Bam though!
I might be wrong, but you can see sunlight through the top of his car - and it looks like a gallardo to me... Didn't he chop a hole in the top of his gallardo? Must have had a proper sunroof put in it!
Yup! He did in fact cut a sunroof / hole in his lambo. He's now had it converted so it seems. I've got a better shot of the sunroom if you visit my site (please also click the advert to help pay for the bandwidth! - I'm up to 24GB now in 3 days!!!)
The only reason why he posed for me was because I shouted out, "hey Bam! Love the sunroof!" and he gave me a very cheeky grin!
He also pointed out I was the only f'ing person to mention it! lol >> Edited by beanbag on Wednesday 3rd May 21:28

genius - I like the sunroof conversion!! What's bam like in person? I was watching CKY3 just earlier today....
Great photos by the way (well IMO), cheers for posting
Well it wasn't exactly a full-on conversation we had but he seemed alright. He signed a mass of autographs for the kids and was pretty much joking about most of the time while people swarmed around his car.
Tony Hawk on the other hand seemed like a complete knob cheese. He kept telling everyone to get out the f'ing way and refused to sign anymore autographs for a bunch of 10-15 year old fans. He simply pushed their pens and paper out of the way. I guess he was a bit stressed after a night after no sleep but that's no way to be in front of your fans.

I saw a Gumballer in Dublin today!!!! BMW 630i coupé in met grey. Irish guy doing the European leg, he wrote about it, or I think it might have been his passanger, in the Irish Times today. Imagine my surprise to see all those stickers on the other side of a roundabout! It was a wheelchair conversion for the driver (as he is in a wheelchair) so at least he should have got parked in a good spot every day!
