Basic printing advice
Discussion
Quick question.
Last night I was printing a scanned photo (tiff) from within Photoshop CS to my Canon IP4000 printer. Doing it this way resulted in extreme orange skin tones and not at all representitive of the image. I then saved it as a JPEG and printed it from Canon's own photo print utility which gave much better skin tone results. In both programs the paper type was set the same.
I would prefer to print directly from Photoshop - what am I doing wrong???

I use an epson R2400 and my monitor is calibrated. the picture has adobe RGB profile and I print using printpreview. I use photoshop to determine colours, then pick the profile for the paper I am using, use relative colourmetric an black point compensation ticked. then print. almost matches the monitor
