Hi got round to making a film of noisy ebay zaust as it now seems to be known. What format do I need to save it in and how do I reduce size of file. Edited in Premier Pro file is currently 138 mb?

Try it as a wmv that seems to be significantly smaller the mpg. Avi allows editing and can capture camcorder DV without loss, but uses masses of space up. I used a trial copy of Ulead Videostudio 10.

Try on the computing forum there may be more people with experience than me.

Scott I've moved this topic for you to the video forum where you may find more people able to answer your question.

When you've done it, upload it to www.pistonheads.tv and point us to it. Well done - looking forward to hearing it!!

Use good old windows movie maker - free download and you decide on the resolution and size of the file. Very easy to use as well.

Also - don't forget to reduce the size. All of my videos are shot at NTSC 720x480 16-9 widescreen or 1440x1080i HD. Whenever I complete my editing, I always encode to 360x240 for web viewing. Reducing the size of the video will save you lots of bandwidth gobbling render size.

You may also want to fiddle around with Windows Media Encoder. You can create a custom profile for your target audience and reuse your settings. Remember that audio can be sacrificed somewhat for better video rendering. I usually keep the audio stream around 92kbps which gives me 200+ Kbps for use in the video rendering at a 300kbps target.

The good thing about media encoder is that you can instantly preview and then change your settings and re-encode if you are not happy.

Cheers
