Hardwiring in car power for camcorder .

Where is the best place to get an in car power cable for my JVC DVcamcorder? and can I just hard wire it to a live feed in the car and put a pushfit plug on it?

If it runs off 12v I expect you can get something that plugs into a cigar lighter socket thingy. If it's less than 12v you can probably make/buy a regulator but it will take more work/money. If it's more than 12v you could use an inverter and mains adaptor.

Halfords sell little boxes for capmervans etc that can run microwaves from the 12v socket. I got one rated for TV's and VCR's for about £40. works fine.
