taking the car to a studio (Hangar 25 in Brum) tomorrow am,
should i set my pocket sony digi cam to the highest setting 7 million pixels
or leave it on a lower setting where in the past I've seem to have better pics? be nice to able to print some off though the photographer said I can have a set of his pics

...oh there's 9 female models included in the shoot

im no expert with cameras at all, but i dont see why reducing the no of megapixels could improve the pics. i would have thought that the camera's settings could have a major effect on pictures coming from a hanger, so maybe just play with the camera's settings at the beginning to see what looks best on the camera and stick with that.

ofcourse someone will probably come along now and prove me to be a complete fool.....

more pixels the better.. (although sensor size matters as well) in what way are they not as good? noise ?

ask the photographer.. normally they like talking about stuff and giving tips.. settings etc..

Set it to the finest detail. Also check to see if your camera flash triggers the studio flash, the pro won't want any of your snaps interfering with his.

it turned out we wasnt allowed to take pics of the models, though i'll get
a full CD of the shoot next week when the pics have been touched up

suppose the model agency quite rightly wants to control the quality of the pics/models, just as well as mine of the car on its own were pretty naff
tried various settings, the flash wasnt up to the job (sony cybershot W7)

the x2 pro photographers were both using Canon 30D (?)
he said the lense he used today was over a grand, the cameras were linked to a couple of 1 metre square flash type boxes

hello Neil, thought i would show my face, seeing as you said about this site.

I think Ron will be getting you a DVD of the images in the post this weekend, thanks loads for coming along for the shoot, and for passing on my email to the guy at atlantic.

Am still going through the pics, although there are loads of good ones, even of the Porsche with the wonky wheel badges.
