LCD TV prices after world cup

[chinnybloke]

Hi,

I want a couple of the new Samsung LCD TVs. They are £783 on the web, but about £1000 in the shops. I'm not bothered about having one for the world cup but am worried/suspicious that after the world cup rush, the prices will drop significantly. Does anyone retailing these have any inside knowledge?

Cheers,
CB

Derestrictor will know, (search PH members) but I've already seen lots about prices of HDLCDTV's (and plasma) falling in price later this year. Sony have just bought out a real blinder - but again it's top dollar for the next few months.

I'm not usually one to wait - but this might be a good time to do so as many other HD's are coming out over the summer.
