Anyone got one?
Can't go the full DSLR at the moment and i'm after a reasonably compact camera. Have been thinking about a IXUS 800 IS but with LeMans next week the 7.1xOptical on Ricoh makes it very tempting.
Your thoughts please guys
Also best place to buy quickly
Tks

No Idea, but a Ricoh GRD is on my wish list.
I've got a GR-1 (film version) it's the only film camera I've ever owned that's gone up in value, and a very nice piece of kit it is. At the time it was said to be superior to it's Leica equivalent.
The only (possible) limiting factors on the GRD is no zoom and no viewfnder (just a screen on the back), but you can put on an external viewfinder (clips on the flach mount) and then it looks proper cool - like a classic rangefinder.

Fair enough what about checking out the second hand market?
I don't think you'd find the GRD too big in real life though. Plus if you could stretch to it I think you'd find it would hold it's value better than most digital cameras, which generally are a terrible investment.
Either that or say sod it and blow £1500 on an Epson RD1. Now that is beauty!
