is there a way to rename all the files in a folder, by assigning them 01, 02, 03 file names after the unwanted photos have been deleted?

I highlight them all and right click for rename, whatever you call it, they then add after each one (1)(2)(3) etc is that what you mean?

Cheers guys.

PS (or ps elements) has a "rename all files" command which pops up when you select multiple thumbnails

Have a look at

www.fauland.com

Program A.F. 5

It's a great tool and very flexible.

However I would guess that if you are using any sort of Album or organiser software for cataloguing the internal database index would not be auto-updated. That may or may not be a problem depending on the way you operate.
