last weekend was a very nice break from city life as i went to my gf's house for her birthday. here are a few snaps that i quite like:
1

2

3

4

5

these are very hard to capture as they stay still for such a short period of time!
6

7

8

all were taken with a Nikon D70s

i recognise that i could have spent more time on them but i didnt want it to seem like i was spending too much time away from my gf seeing as it was meant to be her weekend.
what do you think?

wonder how long it will be before some wag says nice tits? oops. bugger.

please stop this spot colour nonsense. that rose needs nothing to show it off, does it?

nicely done.

the only reason i did it there was because i dont particularly like the green of the background and i couldnt tweak it to a level that i liked so i just got rid of it.

i have to disagree, you have taken a nicely done picture and turned it into a hackneyed over worked over done chessey cliche.

my opinion obviously, but one i'll defend until cows fly and the pigs come home.

fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion ofcourse.

out of interest, here is the original, absolutley untouched, just downsized to 750 for comparison:

and here is the spot colour:

i am interested in peoples opinions of this:
a) i find that the green in the background is somehow lacking yet i have been unable to find a good result from tweaking. what do people think?
b) standard or spot colour?

cheers

original looks great IMHO - much better

Must say I agree with doodah to an extent, in that I can imagine spot colour one on the front of a valentine's card with a poem inside.

ETA: original would make nice entry in this month's compo?
