I'm hoping to get some nice shots at Goodwood on Saturday, however I've never been before, and don't know the layout.

Can anyone recommend a place to locate myself to get shots of the hillclimb?

Many thanks

Walk up the climb. I recommend the "far" side (from the car park). Go up far enough that you have a decent straight...and go to the end of it. They fly around the corners surprisingly quickly - and you need a little time to react.

Got this last year - out of loads!

I'd recommend taking some steps - really useful for viewing over the crowds and allows some decent photo opportunities.....

Also don't forget to visit the rally section right up the top of the hill. Yopu may need to josstle for position but there are a few good gaps in the trtees with the rally cars heading directly towards you with lots of dust and grit being flung up behind.

Last year I found the hillclimb was less crowded towards the top, although sometimes you need to wait a moment or two before people in front move away before you can get a good spot.

The rally stage is a good place to view, and wasn't that crowded last year so it was quite easy to get a good viewing spot.

The paddock is also worth a look, although I was there on the Friday and it was busy then, so probably harder to get any decent shots with the extra crowds on the Saturday.

here are my shots from last year - hopefully they will give you some ideas
