All but the last shot seem rather overexposed to me. If you shot in RAW, maybe take the rest -1EV?

What sort of plane is the one in pic5? I swear I saw it fly over Southern Hampshire (Coldon Common) yesterday afternoon.

TIA

Its a Rockwell B1-B Lancer. American Medium/Long range supersonic bomber. Also one of the meanest looking aircraft every built. No need to drop ordinance, just menace the enemy into submission.

You tend to FEEL the B1-B rather than hear it

I was a bit dissapointed at its lack of display though. We got a full bore departure which was great and a low fast pass and that was it! Shame as its one of my favourites.

Big round of applause to the Russian pilot of the MiG. Jet aircraft shouldn't be able to do things like that. Its just not natural.

Amazing wasn't it. Unfortunately I didn't get a decent topside photo of it - just underbelly and obscured by its own smoke.

Only got halfway through processing my pics last night before I almost fell asleep at the keyboard Long day.

Cool pics!

The B1-b is a fantastic looking plane, I've a pic of it looking straight at camera and it looks so mean. Oh and the noise

edit to add crap pic!

Were you there on Sunday Graham? The MiG display was even better than the Saturday showing. After one particularly nausea inducing backflip, the pilot kept the stick back and did another backflip as he decended instead of the dropping the nose and powering out like he did on Saturday.

At first I thought it was out of control but it was obviously intentional as the re-heat came back on and off he went. The American Super Hornet went up straight afterwards and had a good go but couldn't come close to the MiG display.

Yep, Sunday. The double backflip was nuts.

I had to smile at the American commentator for the Eagle later on. He said something like "best fighter in the world". Think the Russians might have something to say about that, pal

Had two fantastic days there and will get my pics sorted in a day or so!

MIG - superb, show stealer
Osprey - weird waste of money and 30 years development.
B-52 - missing on Sunday, loading for Lebanon was it?

Also got to have a play on a Segway, what a laugh. Once the bloke let go I spun round and raced off his demonstration area into the grass as fast as it would carry me.

Own up aswell - who was it who yelled "Pistonheads" at me as I was driving the Corvette in the parade area, come on, who was it......

Ah that was you was it!! I noticed the logo on your back window as you were convoying out with some of the other show cars on saturday evening - the only PH reference I saw there!

Wasn't me that shouted mind you, but there appear to have been a few of us about. Lovely motor, awesome sound on starting, my 5 year old got clearance from the ground
