Stepping down a lens to fake full-frame
Discussion
I've been trying out a Sigma 8mm Fisheye lens, however, the top and bottom of the image are cropped slightly due to the fact that I have a Nikon D200 which isn't full-frame.
Is there some kind of step-down adaptor which will reduce the size of the image to fit into the chip are, thus giving the effect of full-frame?
Thanks in advance.

Eh!? It's too hot for thinking about this.
Think you'd need a 6mm on a digital to replicate an 8mm - and no, i don't think there's any known adaptor.
Yes an 8mm would normally give a circular image even on full frame.....
Here - try one of these

Thanks for the replies.
I have looked into the Nikon 6mm Fisheye, but have gone no further down that route as I imagine the price will be prohibitive!
I've posted an image taken with my old Coolpix and an FC-E8 fisheye lens, which produced a full-frame fisheye image. Below it is a mockup of how the image using the 8mm lens on my D200 looked. As you can see, the image is cropped due to the DSLR not having full frame capability. I need to somehow get the effect of the Coolpix image on the D200.
I hope this makes slightly more sense than before!
*Edit - this guy managed it, but the solution looks quite cumbersome:

You'll need to think about whether it needs the mirror locked up or not! Oh - and there you go, you've found out that in the link! Go for it!!!!
