I just treated Mrs Get...

...to a ride in our neighbours 600bhp ex military helicopter (170mph at 50 feet over the hills of the Lake District).
He uses it every day for work.
Tough life eh!
My pic of the beast and hers of Buttermere (lots of reflections I'm afraid) ... and before you all start shouting, I'd love to get pics from up there but you can't open the window and lean out - not sure my B-Hague mount would survive!

It's like you live in another world compared to the rest of us - you do know we all hate you even more now

Now if I had the big chopper I would understand that (hold on - that didn't come out right)

LOL......but I think I understand what you were getting at.
To put things into perspective, my neighbours daily ride is a Ford C-Max. I do think the fact that you neighbour has one of those is enough to hate you by proxy.

Very nice
Why not ? There's a sliding window that's big enough to poke the lens out
Ah, the tricolore, in its evocative colours of red, white, and...blue ?
Edited to add: Why is it on YU registration ?

Am I the only one who hates helicopters?
- Engine stops, falls out of sky - no wings.
- Noisy as hell, esp. if you live underneath a chopper flight path.
Yes, they're cool in many ways and ultra convenient, but I'm not going in one (unless its a rescue/air ambulance - I agree they're needed).

Correction..............Engine stops, glide to earth like a sycamore (?) seed. Copters can still fly (down slowly) with the engine off, then you pull up as it is about to hit the ground and bump down. Much like you stall a parachute.
Great way to travel IMO.
