An hirsute visitor
Discussion
This little chap has been lurking around in my garden for the past week, eating up half of the plant that I'm trying to get to grow over a horrid electrical conduit.
He's a shy fellow and this evening for the first time he showed himself sufficiently for me to point the camera at him. Or so I thought. Turns out he really is camera shy.
Nice feet anyway.
And he has a better haircut than me.
Finally, a look at his face. I'd have killed for a proper macro lens and not a £100 crappy sigma 70-300 with "Macro mode".

What an amazing looking catapillar...do you mind if I copy your photos in an attempt to get an ID?
Not at all, I'd love to know what it is and what it will turn into. I've just put the bins out and he's still there, so hopefully I'll get an even better look at him tomorrow.
