grr, not happy (bounce) took a load of pics on Sat at a Mini run () and from about 170, about 9 have "marks" on them.

Please see ....

Now, is this a camera fault, or some very weird reflection off the lens ??? Only occurred on a handful of pics, not eaxactly the same pattern of marks and not in the same place.

Any help gratefully received.

If it's the green "flashes" then it looks like lens flare as above.

What Camera/Lens are you using?

Another vote for flare or just possibly a small mark on the lens/filter (if filter fitted) that just happens to catch the light at the angle of lens to sun.

Quite common. Easily fixed with an editor.

Thanks guys, really appreciate your help.

Lens was my Nikkor 55-200, with a skylight filter.

First time I've had flare that colour, hence my concern - also first time I've photographed lots of shiny minis which was probably reflecting light all over the place.

Just took 100 or so pics of my hall, not looked through all properly, but no indication of a problem, which would support your views.

Once again, thanks.

This may not be related at all - or not obviously, but it is something to contemplate.

My guess is that, if the LL article has any bearing on what you have seen, the bright light source could be out of frame (the example images are all in frame of course to make the point) based on sensor form factors vs lens/filter full frame coverage. But I could be way off on that idea - its just a thought that occurred to me and I have no way of testing the theory!

Or maybe it is just a normal lens flare. Looks like the sun is in about the right position to be challenging.
