My girlfriend and I jumped on a last minute flight and headed off to see her family in Thailand. Sadly, due to family illness I wasn't able to shoot as much as I'd like, but c'est la vie!

As I'm a lazy git, these pictures are pretty much 'as shot'. I've not touched the RAW's yet.

a friend lived out there for a year, I'm unbelievably jealous! The stories she has, the things she has seen, places shes visited... It all makes me desperate to travel!

Nice pictures anyway.

Nice shots. I love Thailand and have a few friends settled out there. It means I can go out there on a whim.

The shots remind me of some of the local kids who live near one of my mates, on Koh Phangan. We call them the Jackass kids on account of them being crazy fekkers. What they lack in education prospects, those kids gain threefold in fun! They queue up for the big farang (6'6" ) to throw them into the sea.

What part of Thailand is that?

Lampang, where my g/f's family live, and Chiang Rai (The Golden Triangle).

We'd originally intended to go for 2 weeks, but due to my g/f's mum being admitted to hospital we ended up staying for just under a month. Yet, I still only managed 3 days of shooting. Thank God we're going back at christmas then thumbup

Andy, are you Andy M who put me up for the night before a big evo meet years ago?

Some cracking shots in that lot. Very impressive. I've not really got the eye for portrait shots but you seem to have. Nice one

Hi Matt,

Yes, that'd be me. How's Sheffield been treating you?

Thought it must be you.

Rather than clutter up your thread, do you have an email address I can get you on?

Very nice of you to say

This one makes me laugh:

In reducing the size of the picture, it's made the floor matt look like a cow pat. It looks like Yai (g/f's mum) has left something behind, and is making a speedy exit...
