Does anyone have any recommendations for a free / Open Source website photo gallery package? Preference would be PHP / MySQL based as that's a technology I'm comfortable with.

Thanks in advance

Got to agree with that thumbup the new version g2 is a great improvement over that last edition, it's very easy to use, very customizable and the shopping cart mod is great if you sell your photos. I've got nearly 23,000 photos in my gallery setup and it works great.

I've just installed it now. Actually, I didn't - Muncher did, the top chap.

I'll get some photos up shortly although they'll mostly be happy-snap event photos like BTaP & PistonFest taken with the Cybershot rather than decent "ooh, that's a nice photo" stuff.

Why not pay me to develop an even better bespoke package, which would only cost you a small fortune

Sure. But only if you pay me to develop an overblown thick-client desktop front-end for it in C# or C++, which will cost a medium-sized fortune. hehe
