That is rather good Bob; I still haven't purchased my onion...
Off topic - Dreamstime reviewers: Am I alone in thinking they are very critical? I am only getting a 30%ish approval rating.
SS by comparison are a lot more 'sympathetic'(?) with submitted photos - 75%ish approval rating.

It all depends on how good you are. I had 58/59 photos approved by shutterstock today Off topic - Dreamstime reviewers: Am I alone in thinking they are very critical? I am only getting a 30%ish approval rating.

It is SO random getting them to approve your photos, and very frustrating. Remember that the people doing the reviewing/approving of photos are 'likely' to be on minimum wage, may still be in their teens, and are not the highly trained vastly experienced all knowlegable photographers we would like them to be.
Shutterstock approve 10k+ photos a week, so Im guessing they must have dozens of reviewers. It really does depend on who checks your batch.
I had picked out three photos which I almost didnt submit, certain all three wouldnt be accepted, and SS surprised me by accepting two of them.
Luck of the draw mate. Resubmit after correcting. And buy yourself a bloody onion! Ive got a whole bag of em if you want some

I tried the same colour border you had (went through loads of em) and it just didnt feel right... for me. Praps with a thicker border.
The over cropping I completely agree with, from a photographers point of view. To sell stock though, thumbnails need to be big and jump out. ie I crop and stop just before it becomes painfully tight. Dont like doing it, I must admit.
