Here are my latest shots. Too small to take to the park, so I chucked them in the tent

Giving them a bit more highlight and sharpen the eye could well make them look better?

Ive sharpened around the eyes a little more, seems to look a little better, thanks Joust. What do you mean by giving them a bit more highlight?

Well done Bob. I've just submitted my first 10 for evaluation eek

As for pet pics it was having a play with my new kit in the garden the other day. The cats are Cagney and Lacey and were shot with the 100-400...

...and this other wildlife with a 50mm 1.8...

Good luck BBB. The cat pics are nice - is the 100-400 your new piece of kit?

i could be stating the obvious, but its (generally speaking) "against house rules" to submit pet pics to stock sites, cat/dog around the house/garden type shots... Im assuming you didnt submit them in your first 10 though

No I didn't submit these, most of my stuff is generally editorial so that may restrict my sales. I've tried to vary my initial batch. Raking through my website I think these are the ones I've put in...

This but without the border/background...

My new kit is:

Canon 5D
Canon EF 24-105 F4 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400 F4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon 580 Ex Speedlight
Canon BG-E4 Battry Grip

I'm lovin' it

Not quite a pet, but he seems to think he is.
He is so tame, that he will be coming in for a cup of tea soon!
He lives here with his wife and kids.

thumbup Very nice. Your pics are great! They look fine to me, I really like them yes Shame about the editorial use though, although to be honest I suspect many small website owners will buy and use them for purposes other than editorial

Where was the deer shot taken 360boy?

The Roebuck pic was taken by my conservatory door.
I will post some more in a while.

You're quite lucky to have that variety of wild animal life on your property. The closest I get is a wild girlfriend due to an escaped gerbil. And lots of big bland spiders. And moths. Lots of moths.

Random photo of one of our moggies taken with a Sony cybershot jobby. Fairly sure some photoshop tweakery would bring out the colours better but not bad for a £90 camera!

Agreed! It is lovely living in a place with so much rare wildlife.
I have rapidly earned the reputation around here as the local Dr Doolittle. All the injured animals and birds seem to end up on my doorstep.
Anyway, here are some more pictures of Mr Roebuck plus his wife and kids.
Also, my life won't be worth living, if I don't post a pic of my girlfriend's Sheltie "Milly", taken on Hook-by-Warsash beach.

Thanks Bob, I'll let you know how it goes. I was stupidly through the first bit of the registration before I realised about the referal program or could have used someone on here's id.

What other sites are you using apart from Shutterstock?
